In September 2017, for our #besmartaboutart monthly networking event, we're heading to the A&D Gallery in Marylebone, to visit ArtCan member
ArtCan provides this support through profile raising activities and exhibitions, as well as an open and collaborative network of ‘like-minded’ peers. This exhibition responds to the images and sensations of the autumnal season - to the ‘equinox, park walks, golden sunsets, reflections and explorations during the last burst of colour’ of the year. It will feature 25-30 members from ArtCan’s international group of artists working in a variety of media. Attendees to this event will also learn about ArtCan’s exhibition programme, including the ways in which the organisation is working with and for artists. About the Gallery: The A&D Gallery is Marylebone's longest established contemporary art gallery, having opened its doors in 2000. The gallery has built a strong reputation based on expertise and customer care. The ethos of the gallery is to help and encourage new artists and new collectors; to this end it offers low cost entry level multiples and prints alongside rare museum-quality original works. About the Event: With arrivals starting at 6.30pm, all attendees will be invited to browse the exhibition as well as talk with fellow visitors, including ArtCan’s Director Kate Enters and BSAA's Founder Susan Mumford. Approximately half way through the event, Susan will facilitate a Q+A with Kate, providing insight into the exhibition, ArtCan’s work with artists, and ways to get involved with the programme. This will be followed by a presentation of three new top networking tips, delivered by Be Smart About Art. Note that arrivals are welcome at any time between 6.30-8.30pm.#besmartaboutart networking is a monthly opportunity to meet artists, curators & other art world peers, view exhibitions and spaces, and expand knowledge.
