Take on the challenge and put your competitive caps on this winter as the PyeongChang Olympics heads to Queensway with a trio of curling, ice hockey puck shots and go-nutting. Prepare to team up with family, friends and foes and let the games begin at central London’s only permanent all-year round ice rink and battle it out to become champion.
Go for gold during the first round of curling as two teams fight for the crown. Are you brave enough to give the curl a whirl and battle it out playing the Olympic sport that has taken over London? Becoming the city’s coolest trend, you’re sure to be hooked from the first throw by this simple yet addictive game. Knock your opponents’ stone out of the bullseye or aim yours to slide perfectly into pole position. Whichever way you choose to play, QUEENS is the destination to get your curl on.
You’ll certainly need your A-game for the next round of ice hockey shootouts as you and your friends go head to head firing pucks into a micro net with custom made puck shot targets. Precision and aim will take you far in this event, so choose your teammates wisely and let the games commence. Strike or snap the puck at QUEENS with its newly £4 million refurbishment that will give Pyeongchang a run for its money.
From the slopes of the French Alps to the streets of West London, go-nutting will be taking over the city as the sport otherwise known as ‘human curling’ has landed at QUEENS just in time for the Winter Olympics. Have a go at being the stone and dive onto an oversized rubber doughnut propelling yourself across the ice, towards the bullseye 20m away. Points are awarded for accuracy while a tight grip and daring demeanour are key to success.
The triathlon is 60 thrilling minutes in total on the ice and teams are of up to 8, which will then be halved into two competing squads. After all squad scores are recorded, one member from each team will be chosen to shoot for gold with the chance to win a coveted bottle of Prosecco. The fun needn’t stop there however, with cult food destination MEATliquor onsite for those who wish to refuel post game. Brace yourself and bring your game face for the first annual QUEENS winter games. Whether a beginner or seasoned professional ready to take on the next Winter Olympics, all are welcome to show off their skills in this unforgettable experience. Over 18's only.
