This classic tale is a sure-fire hit and spectacular piece of theatre not to be missed.
Arnold Ridley's classic comedy thriller tells of a desperate group of travellers stranded in the waiting room of an isolated Cornish railway station one dark and stormy night. They react with various degrees of credulity to the Station Master's warning of death to anyone who sets eyes on a ghostly train that haunts the line. They dismiss the story and his warnings and prepare to spend the night but soon find themselves caught up in the eerie tale of a spectral train and the series of startling events that its imminent appearance sets in motion.
This timeless mystery was first produced for the stage in 1925 and has since been made in a film no less than four times. It remains as popular today, capturing audience’s imaginations with its mysterious and chilling tale of ghostly-goings-on! Over 90 years on and the play is ever popular as it recalls the bygone age of steam and combines humour with suspense to evoke giggles and gasps in equal measure.
After the huge success of THE GHOST TRAIN, author Arnold Ridley found fame all over again playing Private Godfrey in 'Dad’s Army'.
With special effects and scares galore, this classic tale is a sure-fire hit and spectacular piece of theatre not to be missed. A spooky evening, guaranteed to have audiences on the edge of their seats
