Make Your Own 16” Hand Held Shamanic Frame Drum and Beater and Your Own Unique Rattle at the Magical Cae Mabon Eco-Retreat in North Wales.
On these journeys we meet with our guides, teachers and allies, for wisdom, guidance, healing and information. During this 2-day retreat you will work with gifts from nature and the spirits themselves to birth your own Sacred Tools into being – a Shamanic Frame Drum from Ash and Deer Hide, a Drum Beater with which to play it and a Rattle also made from deer hide.Suzi will guide us in the practicalities of making our tools and in accompanying ourSuzi Crockford work with a beautiful interweaving of the sacred and the ordinary through ceremonies of honouring; for the land which holds us, for the spirit of drum and rattle, for the deer and for the trees.
Suzi set up Dartmoor Drums 14 years ago, making shamanic frame drums using ethically and sustainably sourced materials. She works with love and respect, constantly honouring the interconnectedness of all things and offering her gratitude to the spirits, whilst still being utterly grounded and rooted in the practical. She is known for her clarity, kindness and patience and works as a shamanic healer and teacher alongside her drum making.
Cae Mabon RoundhouseThis 2-day retreat will be held at Cae Mabon, a unique eco-retreat nestled at the foot of Elidir Fawr in an oak forest clearing by a little river that cascades down to the nearby lake. The summit of Snowdon lies just five miles to the southwest as the crow flies. At the heart of Cae Mabon is a thatched Celtic Roundhouse. With a fire in its hearth and smoke rising from the thatch it’s been the home of many convivial evenings of song, story and chat.
Circling the Roundhouse is a family of seven elegant natural dwellings – a strawbale Hogan, an oak and slate Longhouse, a cedar log Lodge, a cob Cottage, a redwood Chalet, a Hobbit Hut and a cedar Cabin. Each is unique, snug and subtly lit by solar power.
Due to the nature of Cae Mabon, there are unfortunately restrictions on those with disabilities, so you are advised to check out their website first, by following this link.
Places are limited to 12 people, therefore it is advisable to to secure your place asap to avoid disappointment.
Price is £350 which includes all materials, accommodation and all vegetarian meals.
