Steps Ultimate Tour

Bournemouth International Centre and Pavillion, Saturday, 14 April 2012

14 APR

Steps Ultimate Tour: Some may call it a 'Tragedy', but 'You'll Be Sorry', because after ten long years Steps have finally decided to dust off their shell suits and hit the UK arenas.

The multimillion record selling 90's cheesy pop group have reunited for a television documentary series on Sky Living.

Sky Living will follow Claire, 'H', Faye, Lisa and Lee on a journey from where they are now, successful artists in their own right, charting whether the five can possibly relaunch the band and start an eagerly anticipated mega tour.

Well, the wait is over and there's no need to wonder until the series is aired. BritEvents can confirm that the band will be releasing a new album and will be kick starting their Ultimate Tour in April 2012.

The new album, The Ultimate Collection, and The Ultimate Tour is expected to revive their biggest and best selling chart hits.

The chart topping group have sold over 15 million records and have had 14 top five hits, before they split in 2001 when Claire and H left the band.

Since then Lisa has had a solo career including a MTV reality show and she competed on Dancing On Ice and Celebair. H' appeared in the 2007 edition of Celebrity Big Brother and Faye toured with the theatre production of Tell Me on a Sunday.

Lee appeared on MTV's Totally Boyband and on a Channel 4 game show, whereas Claire has released fitness DVD's, appeared on Celebrity Masterchef and has showed off her amazing voice on Popstar to Operastar.

The band have said that their revival will help to boost British morale during this economic slump.

Lisa Scott Lee told Digital Spy 'Times have changed, but we are in a recession and Steps' music was very light-hearted and fun, so there could be a place for that in today's society. What else is interesting is that there aren't any boy/girl pop groups out there at the moment, so there's definitely a gap there.'

The band have said that it is the massive demand from their fans that has forced them to plan their enormous tour, which is set to play 14 arenas in April.

Tickets for Steps Ultimate Tour 2012 will go on sale this Friday 14 October on BritEvents.com, their album The Ultimate Collection was available from yesterday (10 October)

Like the Take That Tour of 2011, The Steps Ultimate Tour will definitely be the highlight of the year.

Steps Ultimate Tour at Bournemouth International Centre and Pavillion in Bournemouth, Dorset on Saturday, 14 April 2012.

FEATUREIWrestledABearOnce Interview

Forest Gump's momma always used to say Iwrestledabearonce's music is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get. Well, she didn't say it specifically about them, but with a mish-mash of jazz, electro beats, swing, easy listening, metal and grindcore in their songs; Iwrestledabearonce (IWABO) have, without a doubt, created a unique sound in which you have no idea what will happen next.

FEATUREYou and What Army band interview

Telford-based electro-rock band You and What Army describe themselves as "having unforgivingly catchy trance synths that soar over tectonic-plate-shatteringly heavy guitar riffs, dancefloor-destroyingly awesome basslines and lowrider-cruisingly phat beats, with the narrated apocalypse rapped, sung and screamed wildly into the fray." That's one massive claim, so BritEvents' Lucy Middleton catches up with the four piece band to find out more about their epic sound.
