Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway, Exbury, Hampshire, SO451AZ

Exbury Gardens and Railway: We are a spectacular 200-acre woodland garden, famous for the Rothschild collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias, a riot of colour in Spring.

But outside of April & May there's always something wonderful to see at Exbury Gardens. Our Daffodil Meadow & the Rock Garden are stunning in early Spring, the exotic Sundial Garden, glorious herbaceous borders and Summer Lane Garden have wonderful flowering displays in Summer. Then brilliant Autumn colour from maples and deciduous azaleas more than equal New England from mid October to early November.

Why not enjoy a special 20-minute journey on Exbury's very own 12 gauge Steam Railway through part of the Gardens, great fun for all the family. Why not take advantage of our Season Ticket Scheme and enjoy unlimited visits to Exbury Gardens for a whole year.

The Exbury Gardens steam railway follows a one and a quarter mile circular route and is a wonderful way see the gardens.

The railway track follows a route through a myriad of colours and scents guaranteed to assail the senses in summer. After leaving Exbury Central Station, the route skirts the existing garden to enter the new Summer Lane Garden. Here an exciting route, including a bridge, tunnel and causeway, has been designed to travel through a series of individual themed gardens based on character, texture and colour.

High season from 31st March to 4th June. All paying visitors in High Season will receive a free brochure to return to Exbury in October / November to see the autumn colours. All other times are low season. OAPs are £6.50 on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri in High Season. Buggies £3.50.
