A weekend of art and creative activities at Bankside’s newest location.
To mark the opening of Triptych Bankside – an award-winning, mixed-use development and the latest addition to the Bankside skyline – locals, commuters and visitors alike are invited to come together for Shape Art Weekend BanksideFeaturing music, performance, talks, creative workshops and street food, this three-day celebration will all take place within a wildly imaginative immersive environment created by internationally renowned, London-based artist and designer Jo Peel
Key features of the installation include Peel’s trademark murals depicting layered cityscapes, abstract forms and pops of colour, which will adorn the walls of the ground floor space, contrasted with model houses and a glasshouse with a giant tree growing out from itArt will imitate life with a 3D re-creation of a traditional neighbourhood cafe rendered in Peel’s distinctive ‘2D’ drawing style, replete with formica tables, ketchup bottles and a fridge that doubles as a secret entrance into a projection room, where Peel’s animated films will be screened
All events are free and family friendly, no need to book
