Arriving in time for the bank holiday, the Scarlet Tap is set to become Southsea’s go-to pub when it opens its doors on Saturday 25th May.The destination of choice for craft connoisseurs, customers can choose from seven craft beers that include Blue Moon, Gamma Ray and Sam Adam’s Lager or four craft ciders such as Lilley’s and Orchard Thieves. The pub will also serve three craft ales on rotation, starting with Sharp’s Doom Bar, Fuller’s London Pride and Ringwood Razorback before updating the selection with the season. The Scarlet Tap won’t only be known for its craft ales, beers and ciders though; a selection of gins from the pub’s spirit emporium will also tempt customers, with more than 20 blends stocked, ranging from Gordon’s and Tanqueray to Sipsmith and Pinkster. Coming with a useful pairing guide, selecting matching mixers will be easy, whether a fresh and floral or rich and robust blend is preferred. Brand-new booths, a large projector and 11 plasma TVs will also provide the ultimate viewing experience for guests wanting to watch this Summer’s sporting fixtures. 2-4-1 on food* during the week and other offers and activities ensure locals will always find a reason to visit. The food menu is loaded with hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, juicy burgers, pub classics and small plates, all with Vegetarian versions available. A range of gluten-free mains, small plates, sharers and desserts are also be available.
