A unique event, with stunning 12-ft tall carnival puppets, a procession of children, teenagers and adults through the City centre.
The amazing puppets have been created for us by Mahogany, who also create the puppets which take part in the Notting Hill Carnival.The procession starts at 11am at St Peter's Church, St Albans. Everyone is welcome to line the streets and take part. There are special services at the Cathedral throughout the day – Eucharist at 12noon and Festival Evensong at 4pm.
The Pilgrimage is a part of the Alban Weekend 2017 - a special weekend for the city showcasing over 2,000 years of history and remarkable heritage.
