Join the Lea Singers for Spring Swing, a light-hearted evening of swing and jazz music.
We have teamed up with renowned jazz singer and choir trainer Joanna L'Estrange, her composer husband Alexander and jazz musicians Mark Armstrong and Jonny Gee, as well as the choirs of Beechwood Park School, for what promises in be a special concert in a beautiful setting.
We will sing some of our favourite swing numbers - Let's Do It and I Got Rhythm - as well as audience favourites such as Over the Rainbow and Blue Moon.
You'll also have a chance to hear the L'Estranges in the Night jazz trio with Joanna on lead vocals. In the second half of the concert, we will be singing Alexander L'Estrange's Vive la Velorution, written for the visit of the Tour de France to Yorkshire, with a world premiere of a new children's part, written by Alexander especially for the children at Beechwood Park.
