Knights demonstrate their skills in hand to hand combat to the delight of the crowds.
The turrets and towers of Knebworth House provide a spectacular backdrop to the costumed knights on majestic warhorses galloping at full tilt across the arena in a fantastic display of horsemanship. Knights demonstrate their skills in hand to hand combat to the delight of the crowds who are encouraged to cheer, and jeer, their favourite knights. There are two scheduled jousting displays on both days at about 12.30 and 2.30 pm (dependent on the weather).Later in the afternoon after the jousting bouts, visitors will be able to meet and chat to the performers. Make your way to the grassed area opposite Knebworth Barns, where the knights will be happy to have photos taken with you and talk about the joust.
There is no additional charge to see the jousting as it is included in the Park and Gardens admission ticket. It’s a fantastic value day out – for just £9.50 per person, families can enjoy a day at the Park, Fort Knebworth and the Adventure playground, the delightful Gardens and Dinosaur trail plus the jousting. Plenty of free parking.
Book your tickets online in advance to save 10%. Book before midnight the day before the event. Full price tickets will be available at the gate on the day.
Once again, the Green Dragon Bowmen will be offering visitors the chance to try some archery. There is a small charge for 6 arrows.
