Kingussie Food On Film Festival

The Badenoch Centre, Thursday, 02 February 2012 - Sunday, 05 February 2012

Kingussie Food On Film Festival: Each February the community of Kingussie comes together for a few days to celebrate and explore the world of food at FOOD ON FILM. It's a festival that brings the big screen to the rural Highlands of Scotland with a feast of short films, documentaries and features to make people laugh, make them think and make them hungry.

Both filmmakers and food producers gather in various venues across this small town in the glorious Cairngorms National Park on the first weekend of February to share their passions and skills.

The centrepiece of the festival is the Cairngorms Food Hall where the best of Highland produce is showcased alongside Celebrity Chef cooking demonstrations, whisky tasting and chocolate-making.

Films are screened throughout this four day event, all of which have a strong food theme, and there is something delicious to eat at every screening. There is also an Art Gallery with a Food Art exhibition which will be open throughout the weekend.
