A one-day festival of Folk & Blues music set in the stunning grounds of Wolverton Manor.
11.30am to 8.00pm.
After a sell-out successful launch in 2011, the festival has been gaining momentum with fantastic bands/artists each year along with locally produced food, children's activities, tea tent and not forgetting the Real Ale tent!
Very pleased to announce our special guest at Wolverton Folk & Blues this year... Europe's premier bluesman…DAVE KELLY and his BAND.
One of the very best blues vocalists and slide guitarists this country has ever produced, Dave is well known for his 20+ years with The Blues Band with umpteen band albums and almost as many solo albums to his name. From the beginning, he’s played with some of the greatest blues artists in the world – Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Son House & Buddy Guy.
He’s had his own Dave Kelly Band on and off, for over 20 years as well as performing solo and touring an acoustic blues duo show with Paul Jones – this man simply lives and loves the blues. Don’t miss this brilliant band at Wolverton Folk & Blues 2017!
As well as the Main Stage, the popular 'Beer Tent Acoustic Stage' will make a welcome return this year providing a full and varied programme, featuring some of the best Folk & Blues musicians the Isle of Wight has to offer.
Bands/Artists confirmed so far include: The Dave Kelly Band, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, Double Hitch, MoonShiners, Doug Alldred & The Silver Lining, Yank Heartstrings, Red Sqwrl, Abacus Duo, plus many more to be announced.
With an IW real ale beer tent, BBQ, Tea Tent, children’s activities, craft stalls, Circus Skills and Morris Dancing, The Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair looks set to be a great opportunity to enjoy top live music and great festival food, set against the backdrop of the beautiful West Wight scenery.
