In Dartford for the first time in its 21 year history, Richard Alston Dance Company performs a programme of works bearing the Alston hallmarks of musicality and grace.
Associate Choreographer Martin Lawrance has made Stronghold, to an intense score by Julia Wolfe. Stronghold sees all ten dancers cutting through the space with gusto.

Alston's Mazur is a duet for two men to Chopin's Mazurkas played live onstage, music through which the composer expressed his longing for his lost homeland. Mazur received five star reviews on its premiere in London.

Alston's classic Brisk Singing celebrates the music of Jean Phillippe Rameau, genius of the French baroque. This uplifting dance for eight dancers is carried along by the warmth and lightness of spirit in Rameau's music.
