Margate has seen a revival in recent years and is now one of Kent’s artistic hotspots. The tour winds its way around Margate’s streets and in particular the eclectic shops of the old-town giving plenty of opportunities to develop your street photography techniques. Once at the beach the focus will change to landscape photography whilst trying to capture the light that Turner coveted so much. No day in Margate would be complete without a visit to the Turner Gallery and so the tour will conclude here giving you the opportunity to visit the Gallery.
It doesn’t matter what type of camera you have or if you are a complete beginner, the day is structured to be fun and relaxed with an experienced photographer on hand to point you in the right direction.
We will meet at the main entrance to Margate train station at 10am. The tour will last approximately 4 hours and will include a stop for lunch.
You will be walking for approximately two miles over the course of the day. The whole tour should be accessible for those with mobility issues or wheelchair users, but please ensure you are comfortable with covering this distance and duration.
