In this talk, Elspeth King will trace the history of the temperance movement from its foundation in October 1829 through its various stages.
Elspeth King is a retired museum curator who previously worked at the People's Palace, Glasgow (where she wrote the first history of Scottish temperance) then Abbot House, Dunfermline and the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum.
