This five-day intensive summer school focuses on the skills required to act successfully in radio drama.
The course takes place at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s main campus in Renfrew Street where you will be tutored by Hilary Jones from the Centre for Voice in Performance and recorded by a professional sound engineer.
This open access course is aimed at acting students, keen amateur dramatics performers, drama teachers, and theatre professionals who wish to develop and adapt their skills for recorded media.
During the course you will:
explore the energies of your voice and learn how to adapt these dynamics to develop a successful microphone technique
enhance and hone your acting skills for recorded media
Be introduced to the professional demands and protocols of the industry
Work as a company to record a radio play.
