Join Chris Hadfield at Glasgow Science Centre's Question of Science dinner and quiz
Described as the “the most famous astronaut since Neil Armstrong,” Colonel Hadfield has intercepted Soviet bombers in Canadian airspace, lived on the ocean floor, been NASA’s Director of Operations in Russia, and recorded science and music videos on board the International Space Station which have been seen by hundreds of millions.Colonel Hadfield will tell tales of his exploration as the first Canadian to walk in space and give a personal account about his days aboard the International Space Station (ISS) at our annual dinner. He will discuss the future of space, his return to Earth, that famous Bowie-tribute video, as well as answering questions from the audience.
Our annual Question of Science event allows guests to come together for a unique evening of entertainment, friendly competition, good food and to celebrate science. Whether you come with friends, colleagues from work or clients, the evening will be out of this world.
Between which two planets does the asteroid belt lie? Who wrote science fiction novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”? And which scientist coined the word gas? Quiz host, Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay, will put teams through their paces as they put their science knowledge to the test during rounds of complex conundrums and perplexing puzzles. Who will win the coveted Question of Science trophy?
