Blackpool Zoo: Just two miles from the famous sea-front, the AWARD WINNING Blackpool Zoo provides a home to over 1500 animals from all over the world. The Zoo provides new standards of animal care and aims to provide a stimulating, informative and enjoyable experience that demonstrates its role in the conservation of endangered species.

Blackpool Zoo is just ten minutes from junction 4 on the M55 and 2 miles behind the seafront of Britain's busiest resort. The zoo is home to more than 1500 exotic animals that include lions, tigers, Asian elephants, gorillas and also large families of rare primates. Here you will find a wonderful world of animals and reptiles also exotic birds in naturalistic environments surrounded by 32 acres of mature parkland and lakes.

Blackpool Zoo - The Height of Excitement!

The Zoo is also home to some of the most exciting animal features to be found in Europe including the animal park's award winning Gorilla Mountain a breathtaking close encounter with these powerful and beautiful animals.

Lemur Wood

Where visitors can get nose-to-nose close with these fascinating and curious creatures in an out door walkthrough enclosure.

Miniature Railway

Treat yourselves to a ride on the train which travels from a station near the main entrance to the far side of the Zoo. The track runs through a beautiful woodland setting and offers views of some of our animals.

Childrens Zoo

A chance for younger visitors to meet and even feed some of our friendly domestic animals in a special walk round area.

Run Wild Play Zone

A specially designed play area to allow supervised little ones top let off steam and mimic the climbing skills of the nearby Orang Utans.
