Artists taking to the stage include Anwar Ali and Dave Owen, Sound of Yemen, and Reham Al-Hakimi. LAAF storyteller in residence Alla Alzougbi will beguile you with stories from the Arab world, and as part of her “It was Paradise” project, internationally renowned visual artist Rachel Gadsden and guest Palestinian artist Ali Saeid Ashour will invite audiences to join them in creating large-scale artwork live on site. Amna Hussein, a Palestinian artist and embroiderer from Beit Duqoo village, Jerusalem, who is also collaborating with Rachel Gadsden, will run creative workshops.
