Gallery of Costume: The Gallery of Costume contains one of the largest collections of costume and accessories in Britain. The Gallery is an excellent resource for students and researchers.
For the serious student of dress, the Gallery of Costume offers research facilities unrivalled in the north of England. Access to costumes and textiles in the reserve collection can be arranged by appointment, as can use of the library and archive, which holds some 18,000 books and much other material. Please contact the Principal Curator on 0161 224 5217 for further information.
The Gallery of Costume welcomes visitors with disabilities. There is parking next to the entrance (please telephone 0161 224 5217 in advance for assistance) and independent wheelchair access to the ground floor via a ramp to the main door.
