A Merry Medieval Christmas will take you away from the hustle & bustle of Christmas shopping, and give you a glimpse of Christmas long ago
On December 10th. The Knights of Skirbeck will be recreating the sights, sounds, smells and feel of Christmas in the 15th Century inside Boston Guildhall - which was built for the Guild of St. Mary at the end of the 14th Century. Alongside the usual Guildhall displays and exhibits, there’ll be reproduction medieval items - for you to examine closely - ranging from food preparation to surgical equipment, a variety of hand tools to weapons and armour, plus medieval Christmas decorations and a whole lot more besides! Any questions? Great, there’ll be costumed interpreters dressed as - Guild members - on hand to answer all your queries. If you think medieval food was boring, or that the Victorians invented most of our modern day Christmas traditions, come along to the Guildhall and discover the truth for yourself. A Merry Medieval Christmas is on for ONE DAYOpen from 10.30am to 3.30pm (Last admission 3pm) FREE entry to all with full disabled access
