The Comedy Club Lincoln at Home Nightclub on Friday 26th February. 3 Top Comedians as Seen on TV.
ANDY WHITE:
BBC New Comedy Awards.
Winner of Weakest Link Comedian's Special (BBC).
Andy is a Brummie who escaped from a call centre to become a stand-up comic. He combines silly voices and a mad afro to devastating comic effect. Andy's humour embraces silly voices, funny faces, observational humour, topical humour and his mixed race background. He can do material that's clever, cheeky, sick or just silly. His performance can shift from deadpan to loud and physical.
DAVID JORDAN:
"Six-stringed applause machine" – Chortle.
After a successful stint as a solo singer songwriter, David brings his unique musical talent to the world of stand up, combining his brilliant voice with carefully crafted, hilarious and edgy songs. Bursting on to the comedy scene with his explosive mix of musical comedy, David has already contributed jokes to Radio Four's hit show, 'The News Quiz', music for Comedy Central's 'Seann Walsh World', as well as writing his own comedy scripts for TV and Radio. He has also performed to sell-out audiences in London's West End at several high-profile benefits alongside comedy legends Stewart Lee, Jeremy Hardy, Richard Herring and Mark Thomas, and was hand-picked to support 'wobbly' comedian, Francesca Martinez, on several of her UK Tour dates.
PHIL BUTLER:
Hotel Babylon (BBC1), Funny Business (BBC3), The Des O’Conner Show (ITV)
Phil Butler has always been a popular act, even in the early days when he was serving his apprenticeship in holiday parks, end of the pier shows, pantos and cruise ships. Wanting to explore other avenues and experience new challenges, in 2001 he joined the UK comedy circuit, where he is now found closing the show at all the major comedy clubs. Phil has also had the great honour of performing for our British troops in Iraq and more recently Afghanistan. Dipping his toe into an acting career he had a cameo role in BBCs 'Hotel Babylon' and a TV advert for the AA.
