NEW COMEDY NIGHT IN MARKET DEEPING
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”
Headlining the launch is Irish comedian and actor Paddy Lennox, a naturally funny man that oozes charm. He has appeared in BBC’s Holby City and in many television commercials across the EU. With his laugh-a-minute gags his gentle Irish lilt belies a mischievous sense of humour, leaving his audience wishing for more.
Supporting will be the charming and imaginative Tom Houghton, a former member of improv comedy group The Noise Next Door with whom he appeared on BBC 1 ‘The One Show’. Since going solo, he has been named as a finalist in the 2017 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and appeared on CH 4 ‘First Date Hotel’.
Compere for the night is the quirky James Dowdeswell who has appeared on such TV shows as ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’, ‘Celebrity Deal Or No Deal’ and who also played The Count in Ricky Gervais’ ‘Extras’.
