Beauty, a very independent young woman, lives with her father Panisse in the village of Prettybelle. Panisse is a Merchant who buys and sells things from oversees. Prince Rowan and his entourage arrive in the village whilst out on their travels. The Prince and Beauty have a fleeting encounter where they start to fall in love, but it is short lived as he has been betrothed since birth to a sorcerouss Horridana and has to return home.
On Arriving home the prince decides he wants to break off the engagement with Horridana, She is not happy at all with this and changes him into a hideous Beast and only when the words ‘I LOVE YOU’ are truly spoken will the curse be broken.
Back at the village Panisse (Beauty’s Father) gets some exciting news that one of the ships, that they thought had been lost at sea, survived, and is heading to port. Panisse immediately heads out to receive his cargo. On his way back home he is caught in a storm and seeks shelter at Prince Rowan’s (now the Beast) castle. He innocently takes a red rose from the castle walls as a gift for Beauty but this outrages the Beast who locks him away.
The Beast is prepared to let Panisse go if the one thing he holds dear, his daughter, takes his place willingly. Will Beauty accept....... Will they meet again....... Can she look beyond the hideous exterior and recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince inside.......
