Rock Around the Sixties Feat the Foundations and the New Honeycombs: Re-Live the iconic sounds of Music's greatest era. Hit makers from the 60's:

THE FOUNDATIONS are back with 'Build me up Buttercup' 'In those Bad, Bad old days' 'Baby now that ive found you' plus many more great hits.

The Foundations were a British soul band, active from 1967 to 1970. The group, made up of West Indies, White British, and a Sri Lankan, are best known for their two biggest hits, 'Baby Now That Ive Found You' (a Number One hit in the UK Singles Chart and Canada, and subsequently Top 10 in the US), written by Tony Macauley and John MacLeod; and 'Build Me Up Buttercup' (a number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 in Canada), co-written by Macaulay with Mike d'Abo, at the time the lead Vocalist with Manfred Mann. The group was the first Multi Racial group to have a number 1 hit in the UK in the 1960s.

The Foundations are notable for being one of the few label acts to successfully imitate what became known as the Motown Sound. In terms of line-up and musical style, they anticipated the sound of the more successful Hot Chocolate. They were in a similar musical vein as Love Affair, who also topped the UK charts in 1968 with their version of Robert Knight's 'Everlasting Love'

The New Honeycombs Recreate the silver sounds of the 60's including the hits of the Honeycombs:

'Have i the right' 'Is it because' 'Thats the way' plus many other hits from the 60's

The Honeycombs attracted attention in 1963 for their female drummer and they hit number one in several countries in 1964 with the stomping, Have I The Right. They helped launch the careers of Kevin Howard and Alan Blaikley, and they crowned Joe Meek's career with his final UK number one single. Touring extensively abroad meant they had more success in Sweden, Japan, and Australia/New Zealand, than at home and sadly despite some excellent songs, including the Ray Davies penned, Something Better Beggining, they never quite repeated the success of their debut. Their fifth single,Thats The Way, reached number 12 in the UK charts. Today, they are back with a new line up and will be touring in 2011/2012
