The Quo Experience is the perfect tribute to the legendary duo, featuring an impressively experienced line-up including Shaun Michaels and Dave Crawte who have spent years studying every detail of Rossi and Parfitt’s looks, playing styles and stage performances;
After the sad and tragic death of Rick Parfitt on Christmas Eve 2016, life will never be the same for hundreds of thousands of Quo fans around the world. Not only will he be missed for his unique talent, his witty charm and his heart of gold, but we will all miss watching and experiencing the magic Rick brought to the stage as one part of the legendary rock duo he formed with Francis Rossi which lasted for five decades. That magic, along with the excitement, exhilaration and euphoria of watching Rick and Francis performing together ‘live’ will never be seen again. But all is not lost; there is a new band on the scene that features the perfect tribute to the legendary duo to help keep the memory of the biggest Rock God of them all alive:
‘The Quo Experience’ is an East Anglian based band with an impressively experienced line-up including Shaun Michaels (as Francis Rossi) and Dave Crawte (as Rick Parfitt), who have both featured in quality Quo tribute acts in the past. Shaun and Dave have spent years studying every detail of Rossi and Parfitt’s looks, playing styles and stage performances to make sure they are both as close to the real thing on stage as is possible, without actually being the legendary rock duo themselves! However, The Quo Experience is not all about Rick and Francis; it also features Graham Partridge, a superb keyboard player who captures the magic of Andy Bown’s playing and vocals perfectly; Alex Bayou, a brilliant ‘Matt Letley’ style drummer, who has been playing along to Quo since he was four years old, and Brian ‘Brino’ Smith on bass, a well-known and respected ‘Rhino’-style player and performer on the Quo tribute circuit for over ten years, who thumps out the Rhino bass lines to help give The Quo Experience the stomach thumping sound every Quo Army fan expects to hear!
With such an impressive line-up of seriously experienced musicians and passionate Quo fans, along with a stage show that includes a wall of white Marshalls, Mark Bass amps and cabs, Bose PA and a quality light show, The Quo Experience is fully armed to take the act as far as is possibly achievable in the tribute band industry. The Quo Experience is, however, not just another Quo tribute band – it is an ‘experience’; an ongoing chance to ‘experience’ the sounds and looks of “Britain’s biggest singles chart band of all time” as we all remember it!
The magic and chemistry that the Parfitt/Rossi partnership brought to a Quo ‘live’ performance, along with the incredible energy that Rick added to the show, is being continued within The Quo Experience. Consequently, for both the loyal Quo fans who have been addicted to seeing the true Status Quo ‘live’ for the past 50yrs, along with those unlucky people who never managed to get around to experiencing the exhilaration of a Quo performance with both Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi on stage, this is your chance to continue or start getting your fix!
