Goo Goo Dolls: The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band from Buffalo, New York.
Guitarist John Rzeznick, Vocalist and bass player Robby Takac and drummer Mike Malinin have seen huge success and been together since 1986 (Malinin since '94) .
In 1991, their single 'I'm Awake Now' was included in the soundtrack of the movie 'Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare'.
1998 saw a real boost in their popularity with 3 Grammy nominations that year, their most famous singles probably being 'Iris' and 'Slide'.
Their 'Dizzy UpThe Girl' album sold 9 million copies in the USA alone.
Other career highlights include once presenting an award to the late Michael Jackson and guest appearing on 90210.
