Afro Brazilian Drum Workshop Eri Okan: On Sunday the 8th of August, Bloco-Afro ERI OKAN will be hosting an open drumming workshop from 4pm to 6pm in preparation for Notting Hill Carnival.

This is the first of three preparatory sessions, the following sessions being on:

Sunday 15 August ?The Old Distillery. 33-35 Commercial Road, Aldgate, London. E1 1LN from 4pm to 6pm

Sunday 22 August - Waterloo Action Centre. 14 Baylis Road, London, SE1 7AA from 4pm to 6pm

The classes are 6 each.

(10 for two, if also participating in the Maracatu dance or percussion class just before from 2 till 4 )

On Saturday the 28th of August, ERI OKAN will be leading a final rehearsal for drummers and dancers who would like to take part in the procession in Notting Hill Carnival on Monday 30th.

Participation in the workshops does not oblige anyone to go out at Notting Hill Carnival and likewise if there are people who would like to take art in carinival but cant make all the sessions, thats OK too!
