Florian Mitrea Piano Recital: Bucharest born Florian was awarded some of Romanias most important distinctions during his studies, including the first prize in the National Music Olympics (3 years in a row), Grand Prize in the Ada Ulubeanu National Piano Competition and Prize of Excellence in the J.S. Bach Competition. He has performed at the Romanian Atheneum, the Palace of Parliament and for Romanian Radio Broadcasting Society and BBC Radio 3. In 2008, Florian started a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, since when he has won Second Prize in the Harriet Cohen Bach Competition and Frederick Delius Chamber Music Competition and performed at St James Piccadilly.

Programme includes: F.Liszt Paganini Study no. 2 in E flat major, WA Mozart 12 Variations on the Ah, vous dirais-je Maman!, L van Beethoven Piano Sonata op. 53 no. 21 Waldstein & F Chopin Andante spianato and Grande Polonaies Brillante op. 22.
