Zimbabwe Pearl Ball: The NdoroCC Pearl Ball, hosted by Oliver Mtukudzi and Shingai, is being held to honour Zimbabweans who have worked relentlessly to promote a positive image of Zimbabwe. The purpose of the event is to also raise awareness and much needed funds for the Zororo Leadership Academy, an orphanage home, school and clinic for Children in Zimbabwe. This project is scheduled to start in March 2010 and will require ongoing funding. The school will give 500 children access to education for the first time in the projects first 5 years.
The event will feature an awards ceremony honoring inspirational Zimbabweans in Music, Film, Business and the Sporting worlds; as well as performances from leading artists such as Oliver Mtukudzi, Shingai Shoniwa from the Noisettes, Tinashe and Atlantic Records Artist Mclean.
