Speke Welcomes Birds Of Prey: Pets at Homes Speke store plays host this weekend to a fascinating display of birds of prey put on by the Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre. Customers will be able to meet up close some of Gentleshaws feathered residents, including owls, hawks and falcons.

The Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre looks after captive birds that have been abandoned and also runs a hospital facility, which has helped rehabilitate around 50 wild birds of prey each year since its opening in 1994. The centre itself is home to captive bred birds whose owners are no longer able to care for them properly.

During the event, experts from Gentleshaw will be bringing birds of prey from the wildlife centre into store, along with a variety of facts on the various species and how customers can help protect them.
