Ian Parker Trio

The Citadel Arts Centre, Saturday, 18 February 2012

18 FEB

Ian Parker Trio: Over the last 10 years, Ian Parker has established himself throughout Europe and even the US as one of the leading roots songwriters and performers of his generation. With four albums and two live DVDs released through Ruf Records, Parker has amassed a very respectable back catalogue, and an expansive following to match.

In 2009, Ian began an experiment with acoustic music which lead to several dates in the UK and a trip across the Atlantic, culminating in a headlining appearance on the acoustic stage of The Bayfront Festival in Duluth Minnesota. Finally in March of this year, he released his first all acoustic album The Bare Bones' which has been well received by fans and critics alike.

For his return to The Citadel, Ian will be joined on stage by the breathtaking Chris Eaton on slide guitar and long time collaborator Steve Amadeo on double bass. The band have recently made a series of festival appearances, including the prestigious Acoustic Festival of Britain, which is testament to the wide appeal of a line-up which is a times reminiscent of a jam band, showcasing the outstanding playing ability of the three individuals, and yet Ian's song-writing remains the focus throughout.

A rare opportunity to see the Ian Parker Trio in the UK, do not miss!!
