Boughton House is opening its celebrated gardens to support the National Gardens Scheme 2016.
Visitors are invited to enjoy Boughton’s stunning gardens in their full autumnal glory on Sunday 30 October from 11am-3pm, with a portion of the admission fees from the day going to charity. The National Gardens Scheme has raised more than £45 million for nursing and care charities since the project launched and Boughton is proud to show its support again this year. The Estate’s Walled Garden is a treat for the senses with its herbaceous border, colourful flowerbeds and sensory garden - an ideal spot for a peaceful afternoon. Visitors can also take in the surroundings of the fragrant Rose Garden and tranquil Lily Pond during their afternoon in the gardens. Charles Lister, property manager at Boughton House, said: “The National Gardens Scheme donates to so many wonderful charities and we at Boughton House are thrilled to be able to show our support by opening our beautiful Gardens to visitors on 30 October.” “The day will also mark the last public opening of our Gardens this year, so I’d encourage you to come on down, enjoy the autumn colours and help us raise cash for a good cause.” Located just three miles from Kettering, entry to Boughton’s gardens is £6 per adult, £3 per child or £14 for a family of four. Tickets will be available on a first come first served basis from Boughton’s Gift Shop on the day, where you can also stock up on local produce and original gift ideas.
