Birding Break with Doxford Hall: A three day birding break in the Northumberland countryside often hailed as a bird watchers paradise. Staying three nights at Small Hotel of the Year winning Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa this guided break is designed to suit any level of bird watcher.

After settling in on the first day guests will share a short talk about the birdlife of Northumberland and a guided tour of Doxford's grounds and nearby lake. Day two's guided tour will take you to the coastal fishing village of Seahouses and Monkhouse Pool, followed by coastal strips of Bamburgh and Budle Bay lastly tracking inland to Waren Mill. Day three includes a trip to Holy Island, stopping along its causeway to observe the wildlife, and including a stop at the hide overlooking the Lough. On their final day guests will have the chance to explore the coastline and test out their newly acquired knowledge.

Evenings will present an opportunity to log and discuss the day's sightings, listen to further information from guide Chris Townsend ' ornithologist and Chairman of the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust and a welcoming dinner in the AA rosette winning George Runciman restaurant enjoying locally sourced produce. Priced at £280 per person based on 2 people sharing a twin or double room this includes dinner, bed and breakfast, 2 packed lunches for days two and three and your tour guide.

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore Northumbria's magnificent coastline and diverse landscapes. Starting February 19th a chance to relax and enjoy the outdoors and wildlife in a serene setting ' Doxford Hall is located just ten miles north of Alnwick with 31 bedrooms, stunning grounds and luxurious spa facilities.
