Nottingham East Midlands Model Railway Exhibition

Harvey Hadden Sports Centre, Saturday, 17 March 2012 - Sunday, 18 March 2012

Nottingham East Midlands Model Railway Exhibition: One of the premier model railway events in the UK and, with over 19,000 square feet, it's one of the largest too !

The event will feature outstanding examples of one of today's most popular, creative hobbies. The show is a must for the whole family, and not just for the thousands of keen model railway enthusiasts who travel to Nottingham, from far and wide, each year; nor even just for boys large and small (and their dads too, of course). There is plenty to interest every one - including mums and daughters too !

The models will depict scenes from the late nineteenth century, right up to the present day; from the glorious days of steam, to the modern diesels and electrics of today; from sleepy branch lines to expresses roaring through mainline stations; from commuter trains to the mighty freight trains of North America.

There's more than just trains too. The very landscapes that the trains travel through are reproduced in miniature - stunning scenery and magnificent urban settings. All can be admired and will amaze the visitors. Typically, there are some 30+ model railway layouts; around 50 trade exhibitors; plus a whole host of demonstrations.

Harvey Hadden Sports Complex, is a modern, all-on-one level venue with full disabled access. There is FREE on-site parking, with CCTV and security patrols, plus over-flow parking in the adjacent schools.

It's a great family day out and an event not to be missed !
