Millgate Museum is closed to visitors now as we are in the process of developing a new museum with a National Civil War Centre on the Old Magnus Buildings site Appletongate. This new museum will replace the exhibitions at Millgate and the Gilstrap Centre.

At the Resource centre we offer a research service that gives everyone access to our collection of objects and archives. Please ring 01636 655777 or 655730 to make an appointment.
The Gilstrap Centre, in the grounds of Newark Castle, features the permanent Castle and Conflict exhibition and a temporary exhibition gallery until March 2012.
Discovery boxes are available from Millgate Museum. Please ring 01636 655730 to make an appointment.
