Taking place at intimate jazz club Peggy's Skylight, the night is set to feature some of the most exciting acts going including fierce Afrofunk outfit IED led by rising producer Pete Beardsworth; Gambian master kora player Seikou Susso; razor-sharp spoken word poet The Buddhist Punk; and self-proclaimed "part dovetail joint, part road traffic collision" electronic wordsmiths The Little Typists
The first 52 people who purchase tickets for the launch will receive one of fifty-two limited edition Spirit Wrestlers playing cards, available only on the nightThey will then have the opportunity to either hold the card or gamble it by dropping it into the magician's hat for a chance to win one of seven magical prizes
All proceeds from the night will go to Together Against Cancer, committed to helping those living and recovering from cancerThis comes as a recent report by the International Agency for Research on Cancer predicted that there would be 18.1 million new cases this year and 9.6 million people would die as a resultThe effect of this on our overworked health system cannot be ignored, and "The 52 Card Trick" hopes to raise awareness and boost support for those living with the disease through experiments in music, plant medicine, freedom of thought and esoterica
