TV STARS COME TO SOUTHWELL
Topping the bill is Presenter, Broadcaster, Writer, Actor and Comedian Ian Stone. An International comedian, including performing for the troops, he has made numerous TV and Radio appearances including ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘Saturday Live’. He wrote for ‘The Omid Djalili show’ on BBC1, ‘The Sketch Show’ on ITV and ‘Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression’ on BBC 1. Audiences can’t get enough of his edgy and challenging approach which is supported by a relaxed and excusatory manner.
Opening the night will be the somewhat cynical and gloomy Mike Gunn, who despite this has the ability to get the crowd on his side, however far he pushes! In his first Edinburgh Festival Show, he appeared as a funeral director! He has appeared on numerous TV programmes, including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Celebrity Deal or no Deal (CH 4), and Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV). He has also been a contributor for The Guardian and written for Time Out, The List and Match of the Day Magazine and was support for Lee Mack on a huge theatre tour.
Completing the line-up are octogenarian comic, Lynn Ruth Miller who even made Simon Cowell laugh on Britain’s Got Talent and the deliberately awkward and wooden Harvey Hawkins, with his uniquely funny style.
Compere for the night will be the lively and amiable Spiky Mike.
