TV AND RADIO STARS COME TO SOUTHWELL
Topping the bill is the charismatic and highly talented Tom Wrigglesworth comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to captivate his audiences.
Opening the night will be Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’, BBC3’s Bizarre Crime, The Wright Stuff, Sky News and BBC Look North and at the Edinburgh Festival, had one of his jokes voted 3rd best in ‘Dave’s Funniest Joke of The Fringe’. Following the success of the first series of ‘It’s a Fair Cop’, BBC Radio 4 agreed to a second series, where he talked about more case studies. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.
Completing the line-up will be Rik Carranza; being half Scottish half Filipino gives him a wealth of funny stories from an intriguing perspective and experiences and Jonathan Williams with his mix of blasé, intelligent, sceptical and unique observational comedy.
Compere for the night will be the amiable and animated Spiky Mike.
