Dying to Please You - a comedy about death and dying Directed by John Wright
Dying to Please You - a comedy about death and dyingDirected by: John Wright
R&D facilitation and Drama Therapy by: Holly Stoppit
Music by: Luke Harney
A dark comedy inspired by the personal journey through illness and the passing of Tess's late partner and iconic Bristol beatboxer, Vid Warren. This mortally funny piece of devised theatre explores the comedy behind death, dying and grief through music, dance and physical theatre. This project is an exploration of the question: can we laugh in the face of death?
Modest Genius theatre company makes new dark, physical comedy about social taboos. Based in Bristol and the south west, the company was formed by graduates of the Lecoq, Gaulier and Dell'arte theatre schools in 2015.
We work with story-telling, physical theatre, mime, clowning, improvisation and music to create anarchic, comic and touching theatre.
With Tess Cartwright, Tristan Green and Sidney Robb
