Mastodon: As far as heavy metal bands from the new millenium are concerned, Mastodon is among the most dedicated to their craft regardless of the necessary investment.
This is a band that has taken it upon themselves to always be on the lookout for ways in which to innovate not only in their own sound, but within the genre as well.
They hail from United States (Georgia to be more specific) and are always ready to have a good time, they are notorious for having lively and lighthearted concerts.
To date they have released five studio albums with the latest entitled The Hunter debuting at number 11 on Billboard charts; it has become overwhelmingly clear that they have a very solid and devoted fan base.
Their sound stays true to the typical heavy metal genre without taking an awful lot of risks, but the few risks they do take have always complimented their sound well.
