A startling new show by The Plasticine Men, based on an epic real-life story from Afghanistan
Martin Bonger (Fat Man, and NIE’s Around the World in 80 Days) plays an American stockbroker turned statesman, thwarted in one wildly ambitious bid to change the world for good. With composition by Jennifer Bell (recently featured on Radio 4’s Word of Mouth), it is a haunting new show about being possessed by an idea.
“A beautifully crafted piece of no-frills physical theatre.”
The Guardian on previous show, Keepers
“Powerful beguiling theatre, a veritable tour de force.”
British Theatre Guide on previous show, Keepers
The Plasticine Men search for stories together that beg to be told onstage, explore extraordinary worlds that lurk on the edge of hearsay and history, and craft shows of heart and consequence that get under the skin.
