The Great Glen Canoe Trail is a classic canoe journey from coast to coast through some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery, including canoeing in Loch Ness. We make camp each evening in some of the most stunning wild camping spots you'll ever see**. Your adventure begins just outside Fort William on the easy, sheltered water of the Caledonian Canal. We then journey through a series of amazing lochs before finishing at Inverness on the other side of Scotland!Throughout the expedition, coaching will be given to help you develop your paddling skills, so by the end of the route, you will not only have enjoyed a unique journey, you will also be a more competent canoeist.
This trip is for adults and older children. Beginners and more experienced paddles are welcome. A basic level of fitness is required.
**If you don't want to camp we can help you arrange alternative accommodation, but this will be at your own expense.
FOOD: Meals are included from lunch on day one to lunch on day 5. Breakfast is cereals, fruit, eggs; Lunch is buffet style; dinner is cooked on the campfire and is always very yummy! Anyone is invited to help with the cooking if they like. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
What's Included? Qualified river guides, hire of Canadian canoe, canoe paddle, bouyancy vest, dry bag for your kit, food, camping, taxi shuttle back to Fort William.
