Beginning life as a rock opera concept album in 1976, Evita first appeared in London's West End in 1978.
With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics and book by Tim Rice, it concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death. Winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical it transferred to Broadway a year later, where it was the first British musical to receive the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Spanning the 1930s, 40s, & 50s, BCOS - Bicester Choral & Operatic Society takes you back a bygone era with Evita. Visually stunning and supported by an orchestra, and featuring the international hits Another Suitcase in Another Hall, High Flying Adored, and of course Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, you won’t want to miss out.

Applauded for his approach to our recent productions of Carmen and Chess, Director Martin Quinn is back, joined by Nikki Fine (HMS Pinafore), with a production to rival them all
