FIRST STOP: PADDINGTON! Join Trinity Camerata for Paddington Bear's First Concert. This concert has something to suit the whole family.
The highly acclaimed actress Lynn Farleigh will once again be joining Trinity Camerata and conductor Sam Laughton, this time to narrate Paddington Bear's First Concert. Written over 40 years ago by Herbert Chappell for Michael Bond (author of the Paddington Bear stories) this timeless classic follows the world's most famous bear all the way from Peru to his very first concert! This story is brought to life by our very own visiting Paddington Bear. The varied programme includes Schubert's Unfinished Symphony (Paddington was dismayed at paying 10p for a work that was not finished!) as well as Coronation Scott (Ellis) and Puffin' Billy (White) to appeal to the train-lovers. Children are encouraged to bring their bears and may like to join the hunt for Paddington's train ticket during the interval. For the third year running this event is being supported by Bicester Town Council. Tickets can be purchased on the door or in advance from Coles Bookstore Bicester or Bicester Toys.Trinity Camerata has been based in Bicester since 2010. It is a small, high quality, amateur orchestra that draws its members from Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. The family concert is one of three concerts staged annually by the orchestra in Bicester's historic church of St Edburg.
