40 Days To Go: On February 19th 2010 Glasgow based photographer Kim Mason recorded a day in the life of the Renfrew-Yoker Ferry. Starting at 6:30 in the morning he photographed the condemned ferry service once every hour until it closed at 9:30pm. On Wednesday 31st March 2010, troubled operator, SPT will end the ferrys 200 year history and on the same day Kims unique collection of sixteen images will be on display at the Ferry Inn, 1 Clyde Street, Renfrew. Kim states My exhibition is both a celebration and memorial to the 200 year old ferry. It is the last operational crossing this far upstream and the closest ferry service to Glasgow City Centre. It is also the last ferry with historical links with the once great shipyards. It should not be forgotten.
