We have investgated this location recently with Midlothian Paranormal Investigations and there was a lot of happenings, from white mist, blue mists, coloured lights and maniquins from exibitions moving on their own accord.

You will have full use of the ghost hunting equipment and also some new tools for experiments.

The Victorian prison, now a museum of imprisonment and local history, is situated on the site of the Royal Castle of Jedburgh. These include finds made during excavations upon nearby Dunion Hill Iron Age settlement and at Greyfriars’ Garden in the town. The Royal Castle of Jedburgh occupied this site from the 12th century until 1409 when it was destroyed to deny its use to English soldiers. John Howard’s Reformatory Imprisonment principles influenced the design and construction of this prison in 1820-1824 on the site of the town gallows.

Jedburgh Castle Jail has been the subject of many reported paranormal occurences. Many apparitions have been seen and there have been many reports of a ghostly piper seen standing on the battlements. Strong presences have been felt and on many occasions strange lights have been witnessed. The jail found itself highlighted in the media in 2005 when a paranormal investigation team experienced extreme poltergiest activity.

The event will include various vigils and experiments which everyone will have the opportunity to participate in. These will include filmed vigils, trigger object experiments, EVP experiments, use of a variety of ghost hunting gadgets and much more.

All findings will be analysed throughout the evening and there will be a discussion at the end of the investigation. The event will come to a close at 5am.
