Powis Castle and Garden: A 12th Century Castle built by Welsh princes, for the last 4 centuries home to the Herbert family. It contains one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales and an impressive collection of treasures from India.

The garden is one of Britians finest with 17th Century Italianate terraces and statues, impressive clipped yews and daringly planted herbaceous borders.

Open: Thursday - Monday, 21 Mar - 31 Oct

garden 11am - 6pm, Castle & Museum 1pm - 5pm (during March and Oct 1pm - 4pm), last entry half a hour before closing, Coach House 11am - 5pm, Restaurant, Shop and Plant sales 11am - 5.30pm.
