Both days will be a special mix of imaginative fun incorporating the themes of the James Capper exhibition which features large and colourful hydraulic sculptures with similarities to a range of animals and insects. Discover how an insect moves, make an animal costume or become your own moving sculpture! Led by experienced artist educators Dorcas Casey and Laura Street, MAKE is sure to be the highlight of your half term.Tutor: Dorcas studied at Winchester School of Art and works as a sculptor based in Jamaica Street Studios in Bristol. Alongside her practice she teaches workshops using many different materials. She is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors having been awarded a bursary from them in 2013. She won the Public Speaks Award in the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize and her work features in the new book The Language of Mixed Media Sculpture. dorcascasey.com
Tutor: Laura trained at the northern school of contemporary dance. She has been teaching across many different settings for the past 8 years and specialises in mentoring primary school teachers with their dance delivery. She has performed with many companies but most notably with Traveling Light Theatre and Oily Cart Theatre Company.
